Born in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, Jason Yang earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in history upon graduating from Zhejiang University in 1982. In 1986, he came to Shenzhen and working in a joint venture as an international trading manager in the Shekou Industrial Zone. Throughout his years of practical experience, he became familiar with various sectors of domestic manufacturing and international trade scenarios. Meanwhile he pursued and graduated from a postgraduate program in International Economic Law at China University of Political Science and Law. For decades, he has been engaged in international trade and has visited nearly twenty countries globally, studying international markets and promoting inter-enterprise exchanges.
“The story of VICAM began in 2004. At that time, domestic manufacturing generally faced bottlenecks, and businesses were at a critical juncture for capacity upgrades. I was introduced to the industrial endoscope products from professional clients abroad and I realized that this technology was highly suitable for certain domestic applications. After multiple trips to countries such as Germany, UK, USA, and Australia for researching and in-depth communication with local clients, we eventually introduced this industrial pipe inspection camera system product into China market, and began our nearly 20-year journey of exploration and development on this field. In 2010, we established our own brand, VICAM. Nowadays our products and services have hold a certain market share internationally, we also have footprints in domestic nuclear power, deep oil wells, bridges, tunnels, municipal sectors and other fields. Currently, under the leadership of our General Manager, Lisa Zhang, the Vicam team continues to uphold the spirit of pragmatism and continuous innovation, focusing on the R&D, production, and sales of pipe inspection camera products.
