Customer Background & Challenge

The customer had previously purchased our portable chimney inspection camera, the V8-33PTS. This model is designed for lightweight, easy carrying and comes with a standard cable length of up to 50 meters, which meets most routine inspection needs.

However, during actual rooftop and high-elevation work, the customer found that 50 meters was insufficient. They specifically requested the ability to extend the existing cable by adding 15-meter and 30-meter extension cables that could be directly attached to the camera cable inside the control box — not full replacement spare cables. Key requirements included secure, non-detaching connectors, high waterproof performance, and the ability to maintain clear HD image quality without interference when the total length reached 80 meters.

Our Customized Solution

To fully address the customer’s needs, we developed a tailored solution:

1.Custom extension cable connectors: Specially engineered joints that allow quick, secure connection to the original cable. The design ensures the connectors will not loosen or detach during use.

2.IP68 waterproof upgrade: The connectors and connection points are fully sealed to IP68 standard, making them suitable for rooftop, chimney, and outdoor environments where moisture may be present.

3.Optimized control box circuitry: We improved the internal circuit design and signal transmission of the control unit to guarantee stable, high-definition image quality with no noticeable degradation or interference even at a total length of 80 meters (50 m original + 30 m extension).

4.Maintained portability: The extension cables are compact and easy to carry, allowing rapid on-site installation without compromising the overall lightweight and portable nature of the system — ideal for single-operator or small-team rooftop work.

With this solution, the customer can flexibly choose the 15 m or 30 m extension according to the actual inspection distance, easily expanding the system to 65 m or 80 m as needed.

This customization not only solved the customer’s immediate need for greater reach but also demonstrated our capability in signal integrity, connector reliability, and field adaptability.
