Q: How do I choose the right camera size for my pipe inspection needs?
A: Selecting the correct camera diameter depends on your pipe size and inspection environment. Here is a quick guide based on our camera lineup:
17mm – 23mm Very narrow pipes, residential drains, HVAC ducts, small conduits Ultra‑slim, fits tight bends
29mm(self-leveling) – 33mm (rotating) Standard sewer lines, industrial pipes, municipal drains (4–8 inches)
45mm – 50mm (rotating) Large-diameter pipes, mainline sewers, culverts, industrial applications Stronger build, wider coverage, full rotation
Additional tips:
Use rotating cameras (33mm, 45mm, 50mm) when you need to inspect the entire pipe circumference, 360° pan + 180° tilt, no blind spots
For straight, smaller pipes a fixed camera (17–23mm) is often sufficient.
Always consider pipe material, debris level, and bend radius.
